As I approach the end of my thirties, my skin concerns have changed: acne and hyperpigmentation concerns have been swapped out for worries over crow’s feet and the forehead wrinkle from hell (I hate you, forehead wrinkle). I chalk my burgeoning baby lines up to a specific formula: one part natural aging process, one part teenage sun exposure without consistent protection, and a lifetime of scowling/frowning/eyebrow raising Hi, I’m Eeyore.

Currently, I’m not ready for any kind of medical fillers, but I’ll be damned if I go gentle into that good night. Instead, I’m being proactive as possible and rotating anti-aging products into my skin regimen. Enter the L’Oréal Revitalift line, products offering effective ingredients at a reasonable price. I was excited to try out the Revitalift Volume Filler Concentrated Serum and the Revitalift Triple Power Serum—these two products are my new MVP’s, with the Revitalift Triple Power Day Lotion Moisturizer and the Volume Filler Daily Re-Volumizing Moisturizer as supporting players.

Revitalift Volume Filler

First up, the L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler ($24.99). This serum comes packaged in a tube that looks like a syringe, ensuring each dosage is precisely the amount you need. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, an ingredient our skin needs to retain volume and hydration, this serum is light, silky, and quick-absorbing. It’s meant to provide a “intensive dose to replenish skin’s fullness” and to help smooth, refine, and plump problem areas, so you best believe I targeted my forehead groove, crow’s feet, and under eye hollows.

Sadly, I didn’t notice any difference under my eyes, but the real showstopper here is that the hateful groove on my forehead has diminished in depth. It’s fainter and flatter now, and I can tell a subtle but real difference—I’m keeping this one in my nighttime regimen, for sure.

Revitalift Triple Power Serum

I pair the Volume Filler with my other favorite product from this line, the L’Oreal Revitalift Triple Power Serum ($24.99). This little beauty features the aforementioned hyaluronic acid plus Pro-Xylane, an anti-aging ingredient developed by L’oreal, and is designed to “repair wrinkles, redensify skin, and resurface skin texture.” It sinks into the skin nicely and immediately imparts a hydrated, satiny feeling to the skin. I noticed a faint softening of crow’s feet and felt that my skin just looked better, overall—smoother and a little tauter.

It also plays really nicely with the Volume Filler serum, with no product pilling or weirdness. Two caveats: it has a chemical/floral smell that is not my favorite, and it also contains mica, so it imparts a faint shimmer upon application. However, the scent dissipates quickly, and by the time I layer my other products on, the shimmer vanishes as well.

Volume Filler Daily Re-Volumizing Moisturizer consistency

Shout out to supporting players: the L’Oreal Volume Filler Daily Re-Volumizing Moisturizer ($24.99) and the L’Oreal Revitalift Triple Power Day Lotion Moisturizer ($24.99). The Volume Filler is geared towards plumping up the skin and smoothing out wrinkles; along with hyaluronic acid, it contains Fibroxyl (a rye seed derivative). This is a thick, moisturizing formula that pairs well with the Volume Filler serum, like icing on a cake to seal everything in.

As a final step, the Triple Power Day Lotion is a SPF 20 powerhouse with Pro-Xylane and Bright Active XP3 (formulated to reduce dark spots and even skin tone). I like knowing that my daily sunscreen contains active ingredients to improve my skin, and this moisturizer makes it a no-brainer. It feels rich and creamy, but it sinks in without greasiness or heaviness. I do find it pills up if you don’t leave adequate time in between product application, but that just forces me to slow down and makes sure everything absorbs properly, which I should be doing anyway.

Final confession: I’ve previously adopted bangs as “nature’s Botox”, you guys. With continued use of the L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler serums, I’m hoping for a bangs-free future.

we heartsers: Have you tried any l’Oreal Revitalift products? How do you deal with signs of aging?
