Is This L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Plumping ‘Filler’ Eye Serum Worth the Hype? (2024)

Is This L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Plumping ‘Filler’ Eye Serum Worth the Hype? (1)

Here are some things I’m guilty of not paying enough attention to:

When my car rego is due.

Getting enough fibre in my diet.

And looking after the skin under my eyes.

My currently dull and dehydrated under eyes (thanks, winter) are begging me to apply all the eye products in all the land.

So when I saw L'Oreal Paris had released an eye serum that promises to address the look of dark circles and awaken tired under eyes, it kinda felt like fate.

Do I think an eye serum is going to miraculously banish my dark circles?

No. They’re genetic.

But any product that claims to hydrate and instantly plump under my eyes - and comes with an in-built massager - has my attention.

Oh, and it also moonlights as a part-time eye massager.

L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler Eye Serum Ingredients.

How does this eye serum do all these magical things?

Glad you asked.

Here are some noteworthy facts about this newly-launched eye serum:

  • The L'Oreal eye serum contains 1.5% pure hyaluronic acid to draw moisture into the skin for a temporary plumping effect and long-lasting hydration.

  • 1% pure caffeine de-puffs puffy eyes by encouraging blood flow to the area.

  • Triple roller applicator with three cooling stainless steel beads de-puffs tired eyes (and just feels really good).

  • Non-oily, non-greasy formula is dermatologically-tested and fragrance-free, and suitable for all skin types.

Plus, clinical results taken from a digital simulation of 81 women (though results for every individual may differ) showed:

Firstly, we must talk more about this cooling applicator/massager.

The triple roller massager is inspired by Japanese Shiatsu techniques, and is designed to help stimulate skin metabolism, promote microcirculation and skin tissue drainage.

The result? 'Instantly fresher-looking eyes’.

To use, dip the applicator into the bottle and apply on clean, dry skin. Using small circular motions, massage from the inner corner of your eye up to your temple.

You can repeat this technique four times to really help de-puff unwanted bags.

(Dunno about you, but I could've used this serum last Sunday morning after a very big night.)

When you're done massaging, gently pat any residue into the skin and over the eyelids to help the serum absorb.

Does this eye serum leave skin feeling immediately moisturised?

And eyes looking more awake, just like the brand says?

For me personally, yes.

An hour after applying the serum to just one side of my face, I even popped a poll up on my Instagram stories to see if people would notice a difference.

I asked which side of my face looked plumper, and the majority picked the side I'd applied the serum to.

Winning!

The stainless steel applicator is my favourite thing about this serum.

It's what sets it apart from other hydrating, de-puffing eye products I own.

I also found the applicator deposited a generous amount of product, and truly felt so cooling to apply.

The fragile skin under my eyes looked instantly refreshed after use.

I found the serum left a subtle, slightly sticky film - this is pretty common of hyaluronic acid products.

I actually didn’t mind because that's what made my cheeks look plump and dewy, especially under makeup!

Final Verdict…

If you have under-eye concerns, I think this plumping, hydrating eye serum is worth having.

Even if only for just how amazing the cooling applicator feels on my eye bags.

The formula with hyaluronic acid and caffeine is everything you'd need from an everyday revitalising eye serum.

Am I looking forward to seeing lines or dark circles minimising over time?

Sure, but I also have realistic expectations around how much any beauty product can change the look of my genetic dark circles.

Seeing those instant, subtly-plumping results - and giving my dark circles some extra TLC - is pretty great, though!
