The 18 best bed and breakfasts in Cordoba (2024)

The Atalia is a nicely-polished hotel with a rooftop terrace that offers views of the Jewish Quarter. It features elegant owner-designed rooms in burgundies, russets and olive greens. The hotel offers good breakfasts with a wide choice and a big, sunny roof terrace…This charming hotel is situated in the heart of the Jewish quarter, so it's easy to walk around town.

Repetiría si vuelvo a Córdoba.(Translated by Google)Nice hotel located in the old center. Many restaurants around and most points of interest within a few minutes walk. We arrived in Córdoba by train. If you go by car, access can be complicated. The room is very clean, although very small (it is enough to sleep and wash). There is a terrace with spectacular views. Breakfast is correct. Although it is a shame that having a good coffee maker, you have to get a coffee with milk (powder) from a machine.Very friendly staff. I would repeat if I return to Córdoba.

Shower doesn’t work, no view, no help whatsoever with the broken amnesties… Like a formal backpackers without the friendly service. Would not recommend. At least find a place with a working shower and people willing to make your live easier. Not wort it it.Lots of love. Take care

Onaardige mensen(Translated by Google)I wish I had never booked here. There are plenty of nice options in Cordoba, but you should skip this one!! I am not used to this way of treating guests in Spain. Unkind people

We enjoyed a very comfortable two night stay in January. The hotel had noted (presumably from our passports)that we were there to celebrate a birthday. So a surprise plate of fruit appeared in our room which we very much appreciated. We would recommend a stay here. And it's very close to the fabulous mezquita.

Disgraceful place with disgraceful service, threatened to call the cops on me when they refused service because the place was supposedly pet friendly but it’s only dog friendly. THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO ACCORD FOR THEIR GUESTS. Disgusting awful service, stay away as far as you can. Disgusting. STAY AWAY!!Never been to a place that has such poor customer service their go to is to call the cops on customers. For what? If you don’t like pissed off customers, get customer service training.

While it was not open, they still accepted reservations trough booking.com, and later, instead of canceling our incoming resevation, they redirected it to another hotel far from the original location for the same price. Because of booking.com's regulations, we were not able to cancel it from our side, so we ended up in an other part of the city with 1,5 hours extra traveling and worrying.

The rooms are not as advertised, furniture is super run down, there was no natural light at all and the bathroom was old and rusty (with a fancy massag e shower that actually does not work). We had humidities in the room. We complaint about a few things and there was zero customer service - the receptionist, Jose Luis, was extremely rude, told us to our face he didn't think the complaints were important enough, refused to change us to a different bedroom and in the end turned out he did not even have power to decide.and we had to wait for the manager (who was nicer and more understanding). We booked for 3 nights and we left after 1. Awful service from basic reception, old hotel, lift about to die with you in it... I've been at hostels with better customer service than this 3 star hotel.

Great location and nice rooms. Shower had features that didn't work. Very nice staff

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS, I WOULD.I stayed at this hotel with a friend for 6 days. The experience was absolutely MORTIFYING. I would not recommend anyone to stay here in a million years. For anyone who saw the response from the hotel, do NOT BELIEVE THEM. We have no reason to lie about what happened to us. The hotel are clearly just trying to save their non-existent reputation. The receptionist exhibited disgustingly rude, insolent and threatening behaviour, to the point the receptionist JUDITH was shaking with anger. Was this an attempt to intimidate 2 young solo female travellers of colour?First of all, we politely asked (we did not demand) if someone could help us bring our luggage down, to which the receptionist confirmed that someone will come up to help. We waited for 10 minutes, however no one came, therefore to avoid being late for checkout, we made our way down to the lobby and handed our keys to ill-tempered JUDITH at 12 noon. we once AGAIN reiterated that our bags are still upstairs, to which she said that someone will bring them down in 10 minutes. We returned to the hotel at about 3:45pm to collect our luggages, unsuspecting of the devious plan that the hotel staff had made to charge us for an extra night because of ‘late checkout’, although we handed the keys in hours prior. The hotel demanded that we pay for an extra night; or they will not release our luggages (which they had locked in the hotel room!). When we refused to pay, they called the police in an attempt to threaten and intimidate us again. When the police arrived, they changed their story and told them that they could not retrieve our luggages from the room because we left ‘personal belongings’ out. The police then proceeded to investigate the room and found that all that was left behind was a TOOTHBRUSH, TOOTHPASTE, HAIRSPRAY And FLIP FLOPS.Upon this discovery, the police rolled their eyes and laughed. I was embarrassed on the hotel’s behalf for the trouble they put the police through, wasting their valuable time. Once the police inspected our room and came to the conclusion that there were in fact no said ‘personal belongings’ left behind, they ordered the hotel to release our luggages and allowed us to leave without having to pay for the extra night. The police saw no fit actions to take as there was no offence made. I find it funny how the hotel failed to mention any of this in their response. It’s outrageous that in 2023 r4c1sm in Europe exists especially in a country which has a history of islamic culture. And no, we are not trying to tarnish the hotel’s reputation as they have already achieved this from their own doings.I URGE you to avoid this hotel at all costs, and book a hotel nearby as there are plenty others available who would not put you through this ordeal, just hours before your flight.

Horrible! Seguir buscando otro hotel, no vayáis a este.(Translated by Google)The heat was unbearable, we didn't enjoy the stay at all because of it, so you couldn't sleep, incredible that at 30 degrees they don't want to turn on the air conditioning, and that only the heating works in the room. The hotel's only solution: open the windows, I find it embarrassing. Awful! Keep looking for another hotel, don't go to this one.

I want to express my deep disappointment in the hotel’s response to my concerns. While I understand that each guest's experience is unique, I find it concerning that the hotel’s reply seems to significantly alter the details of our interaction.Firstly, I must address the claim that we did not communicate with the hotel staff regarding our suitcases. Contrary to the hotel owner’s assertion, we communicated not once, but TWICE, specifically requesting help to bring our belongings downstairs (to which the member of staff agreed to help - on BOTH occasions. This was not mentioned in their response, and I am puzzled by the omission. The characterisation of our behavior as lacking empathy towards hotel staff is inaccurate and hurtful. We were calm, polite, and respectful throughout, whereas the staff's actions included shouting and aggressive behavior. We were the ones who felt threatened and intimidated, not the other way around.Regarding the police involvement, it's important to note that before any police were called, we had inquired politely if we could go to the room ourselves to retrieve our belongings. We were not attempting to escalate the situation, but rather trying to resolve it peacefully.I am deeply offended by the suggestion that I am attempting to confuse other customers. My intention was to share my genuine experience, which seems to be met with an attempt to discredit and disregard my account.Furthermore, the hotel’s change in reasoning for holding our luggage is unsettling. Initially, we were told it was due to forgotten personal items, yet now you claim it was because we left our luggage behind. This inconsistency raises questions about the transparency and professionalism of this establishment.Instead of sitting on the internet writing lies about your customers, perhaps your time would be better spent training your staff in efficient customer service and communication skills. This would not only benefit your guests but also your business's reputation.Moving forward, I believe it is necessary to address this matter formally. I will be reaching out to relevant consumer protection agencies and sharing my experience with online platforms that allow customers to share their feedback. I hope that this situation serves as an opportunity for your hotel to reflect on its policies and practices.

The location is magnificent, you can walk and explore the city, without problems. It is a small hotel with a very basic but correct breakfast and a quiet atmosphere. The hotel staff was charming and very friendly... especially Chari and the night receptionist, super nice.We had a large room, which overlooked an interior patio.Since it was winter, no noise was heard. To add a but... In the bathroom the mixer tap is very hard and difficult to use, especially if it seems like osteoarthritis in the hands.

My experience at this supposed 'hotel' was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Things went downhill quickly on the final day, leaving me fuming. The staff's behaviour was beyond unprofessional and absurd. They took our luggage hostage, insisting we pay for an extra night just to get our belongings back. Mind you, we were in a race against time to catch a flight, managing to board the plane with mere minutes to spare. Their excuse? A toothbrush, toothpaste, flip flops, and a tiny hairspray bottle were left behind, which they deemed 'personal items' warranting a ludicrous 'late checkout' fee.Despite dutifully checking out at noon and returning the keys to a woman named Judith, who was both rude and linguistically challenged, we were thrown for a loop. Earlier, we had requested assistance with our luggage, waiting patiently for 10 minutes before leaving our bags in the room and completing the checkout process. However, Judith apparently suffered from selective memory loss and denied all knowledge of our luggage - despite us having the same conversation TWICE that day.The drama escalated when we returned hours later to a confrontational Judith, joined by her colleague Noelia. In an abrasive tone, Judith demanded more money. When we recounted the conversation, she feigned ignorance. Judith then hid in a side room while Noelia continued her relentless pursuit to squeeze more money from us - all the while Judith could be heard angrily shouting in Spanish from her hiding spot. This was just the tip of the iceberg; the staff's lack of professionalism and obsession with money was palpable, leaving a bitter taste.Desperate to avoid responsibility, they contacted their 'director' but wouldn't allow us direct access to management. To add insult to injury, they actually threatened to involve the police if we didn't pay for an extra night. Shockingly, they did call the police, leaving us two young solo female travellers stressed in an unfamiliar land where we barely spoke the language. Thankfully, the police saw through the ruse, allowing us to leave without paying extra.Among the 'gems' in the staff, Judith shines the brightest as a master of rudeness and incompetence. Noelia, though slightly less abrasive, played second fiddle to Judith, demonstrating zero empathy. The only glimmer of hope was Antonio, the sole staff member who seemed remotely familiar with the concept of customer service.I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. The stress, frustration and anxiety caused by their absurd behaviour will be etched in my memory for a long time. I genuinely hope they treat future guests better, though based on my ordeal, I'm not optimistic. My advice? Stay away from this establishment if you value your sanity. The anger I feel thinking about my stay is something I won't forget anytime soon.

Sin dudas, volveremos en un futuro!(Translated by Google)Very nice hotel and attention! We are Argentines and at all times they attended to our need to carry hot water for mate! The excellent location allows you to walk in the morning, return to the hotel for a nap and go out again in the afternoon. It also has a mini-fridge in the room, with a coffee maker. They offer you complimentary water on the first day. There are views of the mosque from the terrace and tables and chairs are available for drinking.A negative point would be the smell of sewer that sometimes comes from the toilet. They could solve this problem with an automatic air freshener.Without a doubt, we will return in the future!

At the reception there are friendly and helpful (changing of room at arrival).Rooms are standard, but especially the bathroom needs several things to be fixed.Terrace has nice view, but has no service/bar, so you will just go to the city.

Pero la ubicación perfecta(Translated by Google)A little disappointed, the room has nothing to do with the ones on the website, both the room and the bathroom are very small, and with a slightly strange smell, the taps and the shower with poor functioning. But the perfect location

Review by Lyra 7 months ago pretty much sums up the state of the place. 321 euro for two nights room only rip off. Before the manager responds with patronising response, would you put your family in room 109? No you wouldn't ! Spend some money on the place !!In answer to your response, so does a prison cell.
