Thanks to its much better battery life, the iPhone 15 Plus is arguably the better phone overall, but it also costs more, and not everyone will want its larger screen.
One of the biggest issues with the iPhone 15 has been overheating. However, this problem was originally reported around the release of the phone, when a lot of people were receiving their new iPhones and setting them up — that's when most of the overheating issues occurred.
The cost far outweighs the handful of new features. However, if you're on an iPhone 12 which Apple discontinued recently and are looking at the iPhone 15 series, then the iPhone 15 Plus is the one to buy. It gets new features such as Dynamic Island although the display is still stuck at 60Hz.
The dimensions of these phones are similar though, at 147.6 x 71.6 x 7.8mm in the case of the iPhone 15 and 146.6 x 70.6 x 8.3mm in the case of the iPhone 15 Pro. Though the Pro model is heavier at 187g to the 171g of the standard iPhone 15.
Upgrading to the iPhone 15 will not only mean getting access to new features, but you'll also experience significantly longer battery life, a larger screen and 5G network speeds.
The iPhone 15 has a dual-camera system on the back, which features an improved 48-megapixel main camera plus a 12MP ultrawide similar to last year's model. The main camera shoots 24MP images by default, up from 12MP, and produces better-looking and more detailed images across various lighting conditions.

The latest iPhone 15 and Pro Max have been described as “Apple's biggest flop in history” after issues including overheating, dust in the components, metal changing colour and the phone failing the bend test were discovered. Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro has a better camera system. If taking better zoomed-in shots are important to you, it'd be worth it to shell out an extra $200. If you enjoy mobile gaming, with the iPhone 15 Pro getting a GPU boost from its A17 Pro chipset, the upper-tier model is a better choice for you.
Both displays have the same resolution, color saturation and peak brightness (2,000 nits), which makes them easier than ever to see outdoors. What differentiates the displays is the fact that the 15 Pro's screen has an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, while the iPhone 15 is locked to 60Hz.
Overall, we were impressed by both screens when we reviewed these phones, but with its higher refresh rate and always-on functionality, the iPhone 15 Pro Max's is undoubtedly the better of the two.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a bigger screen than the iPhone 15, along with a higher refresh rate, a more premium construction, an Action button, an extra camera lens, a bigger battery (offering longer life), a more powerful chipset, and more RAM.
If you're someone who prefers a smaller device that is easier to use one-handed, then the iPhone 15 Pro is the best choice. If you want a larger screen, a bigger battery, and a better zoom lens, then the iPhone 15 Pro Max is the better option.
