The iPhone 15 Plus is basically just a bigger version of the iPhone 15. That means a bigger screen and better battery life, along with all the other good and bad bits of its smaller sibling. This does however cost more.
The cost far outweighs the handful of new features. However, if you're on an iPhone 12 which Apple discontinued recently and are looking at the iPhone 15 series, then the iPhone 15 Plus is the one to buy. It gets new features such as Dynamic Island although the display is still stuck at 60Hz.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a bigger screen than the iPhone 15, along with a higher refresh rate, a more premium construction, an Action button, an extra camera lens, a bigger battery (offering longer life), a more powerful chipset, and more RAM.
Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro has a better camera system. If taking better zoomed-in shots are important to you, it'd be worth it to shell out an extra $200. If you enjoy mobile gaming, with the iPhone 15 Pro getting a GPU boost from its A17 Pro chipset, the upper-tier model is a better choice for you.

After extensive usage and testing, we determined that the iPhone 15 is the best iPhone for most people. It has the fewest compromises for the best value. For those on a budget, we recommend the iPhone 13 for its overall similarities to the iPhone 15 for a lower price.
The bigger body of the Plus model allows for a larger battery. The Plus sports a slightly larger 4,383mAh battery than its predecessor, while the vanilla iPhone 15 also bumps up the capacity to 3,349mAh. The iPhone 15 Plus beats the iPhone 15 in our battery benchmarks, which is expected, numbers don't lie.
One of the biggest issues with the iPhone 15 has been overheating. However, this problem was originally reported around the release of the phone, when a lot of people were receiving their new iPhones and setting them up — that's when most of the overheating issues occurred.
The bottom line: It's worth upgrading to the iPhone 15 if you have an iPhone 12. The updates go beyond new technologies like the Dynamic Island and USB-C; you also get a notable upgrade in everything from general performance to battery life and camera quality.
The iPhone 15 Pro costs more than the 15 Plus, but has better cameras, more power, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an Action button. Albeit worse battery life.
As you can see from our display benchmarks below, both the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Plus feature great displays, very bright and color accurate. The deciding factor here will be the refresh rate and Always-on mode. If you need those, you should pick the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
128GB should be enough if you only occasionally take photos. For videos, most people take in 1080p, so that should save some storage compared to if you keep taking 4k videos. For apps, “regular people” only have a few apps on their iPhone so it won't be an issue.
Pros: fast, good camera, good screen now with dynamic island, great size, USB-C, great battery life, long software support, Face ID. Cons: no telephoto camera, screen slower than competition and 15 Pro, no always-on display mode, dull colour choice, more repairable design restricted by software locks.
